BASIC OPERATIONS
Use the buttons on the cassette deck.
71 Press the TAPE button.
2 Press the EJECT
"4 mark to open the cassette
holder, and insert a tape with the exposed side
down.
Push the cassette holder to close.
4 Press the <> PLAY/DIR button to start playback.
DISPLAY
When P is flashing, the side facing the foreground (the front
side) is played.
When is flashing, the side facing ihe background (the back
side) is played.
When both DECK 1 and DECK 2 are played back, the sound
from DECK 2 is heard.
To stop play, press the M™ STOP button.
To pause (deck 2 only), press the Il PAUSE button. To resume
play, press again.
To change the playback side, press the <> PLAY/DIR button
in play or pause mode.
To fast forward or rewind, press the <4 or PP button in the
stop mode. Then press the li STOP button to stop the tape.
To operate each deck with the remote control > A
Use buttons @ for DECK 1 and ® for DECK 2.
To select a reverse mode (DECK 2 only)
Each time the REVERSE
MODE button is pressed, the reverse
mode changes.
To play one side only, turn on =.
To play from front side to back side once only, turn on =>.
However, when playback starts on the reverse side on DECK 2,
the tape stops after the reverse side is played back.
To play both sides repeatedly, turn on «>. However, when
playback starts on the reverse side on DECK 2, the tape stops
after the reverse side is played back 8 times.
* When tapes are loaded in both decks, the
> on the display
indicates Continuous play. (See page 26.)
Usable tapes
Use normal (type I), CrOz (type II), and metal (type IV) tapes.
