SYNCHRO DUBBING

DUBBING THE WHOLE TAPE
Use the buttons on the cassette deck.
The SYNCHRO
DUBBING function allows you to make exact
copies of both sides of the original tape.
The reverse side of both tapes will start simultaneously as soon
as the longer tape has been reversed.
Preparation
¢ Wind up both tapes to the leader points.

The Dolby NR cannot be set. The same Dolby NR system setting
for the original tape is automatically applied to the tape to be
recorded on.
7 Insert the original tape into DECK 1 and the tape
to be recorded on into DECK 2.
Insert each tape with the side to be played back or recorded
first facing the foreground.
2 Press the REVERSE MODE button 'to select the
reverse mode.
To dubb on one side only, turn on ==.
To dubb on both sides, turn on =D or @.
3 Press one of the SYNCHRO DUBBING buttons to
start recording.
For recording at normal speed: Press the NORMAL button.
For recording at high speed: Press the HIGH button.
To stop dubbing
Press the Mi STOP button on DECK 1 or DECK 2.
During dubbing
It is possible to listen to other sources.
To set the Dolby NR type when playing back the dubbed
tape
Select the same DOLBY setting type as the original tape. For
example, when DOLBY NR has been used in the original tape,
play back the dubbed tape with the DOLBY NR.
To monitor another function source while dubbing
Press the desired FUNCTION button. To return, press the TAPE
button.
e Recording does not start, if the erasure prevention tab on either
side of the tape is broken off.
° lf the leader segment of the tape to be recorded on is longer
than that of the original tape, recording on the reverse side
may stop midway through the recording. In this case, dub each
side manually following the procedure in "DUBBING THE TAPE
MANUALLY" on page 38.
