SETTING THE TIMER
To check the timer program
Press the CLOCK/TIMER
button so that
or [ONCE
appears on the display. Press the CLOCK/TIMER
button
repeatedly to check the contents of the timer program.
To modify the contents while setting the timer
Press the CLOCK/TIMER button repeatedly to select ONCE] or
EVERY}
and restart timer setting.
To modify the contents in the timer standby mode
1 Press the CLOCK/TIMER button so that
or
appears on the display.

2 Press the STANDBY button or the TIMER STANDBY button
on the remote control so that © disappears on the display.
3 Press the SET button until the desired item to be changed
flashes. Press the
¥ DOWN or A UP button to change the
item.
4 Reset the items which follow once again.
To cancel the timer temporarily
1 Press the CLOCK/TIMER button to display either the
or
timer mode to be canceled.
2 Press the STANDBY button or the TIMER STANDBY button
on the remote control so that © disappears on the display.
To restore the timer, press the STANDBY
button so that ©
appears on the display.
"DAT" and "DAT — TUNER REC"
If an external timer or a timer of the connected equipment is
used, the playback sound of the equipment connected to the
VIDEO1/AUX1 IN terminals is emitted when "DAT" is selected in
step 2 of page 44; likewise, recording of the equipment connected
to the REC OUT terminals is possible when "DAT — TUNER
REC' is selected in step 2 of page 44.
INOTE
¢ Timer playback and timer recording will not begin unless the
power is turned off.

¢ When the Sleep timer and Every or Once timer mode overlap,
priority is given to the Sleep timer.
¢ When the timer-on time of the Every and Once timer modes
overlap, priority is given to the Once timer mode.
¢ lf the settings of the two timer modes overlap, the program of
the earlier setting will be cut off by the start of the program of
the latter setting.
SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER
Use the button on the tuner.
The unit can be turned off automatically after a specified time
passes.
Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to specify the time
until power off. > EY
is displayed.
The SLEEP button on the remote control is applicable also.
Each time the button is pressed, the time changes as follows.

To cancel the Sleep timer
Press the SLEEP

disappears.
