SETTING THE TIMER
Use the buttons on the tuner.
The unit features 2 timers. When
[EVERY | is selected, the timer
operates everyday. Likewise, when [ONCE |is selected, the timer
operates once.
Preparation
* Make sure the clock is set correctly. (See page 18.)
* To listen to or record from the radio, preset the stations. (See
page 22.)
1 Press the CLOCK/TIMER
button repeatedly to
select the [EVERY] or [ONCE] timer, and press the
SET button.
The selected timer mode appears and "TUNER?" flashes on
the display.
2 Press
¥ DOWN or A UP button to select a source,
and press the SET button.
The selected source flashes.
Each time the button is pressed, the source changes.

If you selected "TUNER",

Press the
¥ DOWN
or A UP button to select a band and
press the SET button. Then, select a preset station and press
the SET button.
3 Designate the hour of the timer-on time by
pressing the
VY DOWN or 4A UP button, and the
SET button. Repeat to designate the minute of
the timer-on time.
While designating the timer-on-time, "ON" appears on the
display.
4 Repeat step 3 to designate the timer-off time.
While designating the timer-off time, "OFF" appears on the
display. When the timer-off time is designated, © appears on
the display.
5 Prepare the source.
Read the following as necessary according to the source
selected in step 2.
When "TUNER? was selected, select the desired band and
station.
When "TAPE <— TUNER
REC" was selected, select the
desired band and station to record, then insert the tape into
DECK 2. Set the Dolby NR and the reverse mode.
When "DAT — TUNER REC' was selected, set the external
timer or timer of the connected equipment as necessary.
When "CD" was selected, load the disc to be played first on
tray 1.
When "TAPE" was selected, insert the tape into DECK 1 or
DECK 2.
When "DAT" was selected, set the external timer or the timer
of the connected equipment as necessary.
6 Press the POWER button to turn the unit off after
adjusting the volume and tone.
Timer mode ( [EVERY] or [ONCE]) and © remain on the
display after the power is turned off.
The "e"
displayed in front of the timer mode indicates the
next timer mode to be activated.
