Malfunctions and troubleshooting
9.1
General troubleshooting and fault rectification
Fault description
Metering pump not working.
Pump not sucking in despite bleeding.
Metering head is leaky; medium comes out
through the diaphragm rupture drain.
No metering despite full metering container.
9.2
LED - fault messages
The 'EcoPro' diaphragm metering pump has a red Alarm LED that flashes if
there is an error message.
If the alarm LED is flashing, please first check your metering container to see if
the fill level is still above the empty detection level. If the alarm was not caused
by an empty signal from the container, there is a fault with the pump.

Cause
Mains cable damaged.
Incorrect voltage.
Sediment, sticking of valves,
drying out of valves.
Metering head is loose.
Tear in diaphragm.
Suction pipe float is blocked.
Suction pipe connector or link
connector is loose or not inserted.
Defective suction pipe cable.

Remedy
Change mains cable.
Check mains voltage.
Flush out the metering head using
the suction tube; if necessary, also
remove the valves and clean or
replace them.
Tighten the metering head fastening
screws crosswise.
Replace diaphragm.
Make float functional.
Tighten connector, clean contacts,
check whether link connector is
inserted.
Replace empty signal device.
Action
Reduce and retest
pump performance
on a trial basis,
check back-pressure,
check the dosing line
for pressure-increasing
bottlenecks, use a pipe
with a larger cross-
section if necessary,
change the motor
board.
