drain.
Before switching the unit on, check that it is installed in such a way as
to guarantee the required inclination for proper condensate drainage.
B
WARNING: Do not use thick pipes or pipes whose characteristics
(i.e. corrugated conduits) may impede the condensate flow.
WARNING: tighten the hydraulic connections making sure to block
B
the manifold with the appropriate wrench to prevent damage to the
heat exchanger.
WARNING: The openable side doors must be fixed with screw, due
B
to lack of controls onboard the fan coil.
WARNING: For fan coils equipped with auxiliary electric heating el-
B
ement, ensure that any combustible material is at least 30 cm away
from the electric heating element.
WARNING:
B
In normal operation, particularly with the fan at minimum speed
and ambient air with high relative humidity, condensation may form
on the air outlet and on some external parts of the unit.
To avoid such issues while always remaining within the operating
limits envisaged for the unit, it is necessary to limit the inlet tem-
perature of the water inside the heat exchanger. In particular, the
difference between the air dew point (T
temperature (T
) must NOT exceed 14 °C, according to the follow-
W
ing relationship: TW>TA,DP-14 °C
Example: in the case of ambient air at 25 ° C with 75% relative hu-
midity, the dew point temperature is about 20 ° C and therefore the
inlet temperature of the water in the battery must be greater then:
Ū 20-14 = 6 °C in order to avoid condensation on a fancoil equipped
with a valve.
Ū 20-12 = 8 °C If the valve kit accessory can not be installed.

In the event the indoor unit is stopped for a prolonged period, with the
fan stopped and circulation of cold water in the heat exchanger, conden-
sation may also form on the unit's exterior. In this case it is advisable to
install the 3-way (or 2-way) valve accessory in order to stop the flow of
water in the coil when the fan is stopped.
During wintertime periods of quiescence, drain water from the system,
to prevent ice from forming. If anti-freeze solutions are used, check for
their freezing point using the table below.

Electrical connections
Make the electrical connections with the power supply disconnect-
ed, in accordance with current safety regulations, and following the
base wiring diagram from  p. 62 and pertinent legend  p. 19.
NOTE: the electrical wiring must always be positioned on the oppo-
site side of the plumbing connections.
Check that the mains electricity supply is compatible with the voltage
shown on the unit rating plate.
The electrical connections indicated must be made by the installer.
For each fan coil a switch (IL) should be mounted on the power supply,
with opening contacts at a distance of at least 3 mm and a suitable pro-
tection fuse (F).
Electrical wirings for accessories, controls and valves are available  p. 62.

MOUNTING BASE UNIT AND COVER CABINET
Upon receipt of the unit, check the integrity of the package:
Ū Remove the air filter unscrew the 2 fastening screws 11.13    p.  62
for FWV. For FWL remove filter unscrew the 2 screws on frontal grill
11.12  p. 62.
Ū Remove the cabinet by unscrewing the 4 fastening screws reachable
through the lifted side doors on the upper grill. 11.7  p. 60.
Ū Remove the protecting spacers (useful for transport only) from the
cabinet sides.
Ū Install the unit at distances from the walls shown in dimensional
drawing from figure  p. 57.
Ū Leave the cabinet inside the packaging and proceed with the instal-
lation of the base unit to the wall using the 4 slots provided and the
screw anchors suitable for the characteristics of the supporting wall,
keeping the bottom edge at least 100 mm above the floor to ensure
a correct intake of air and facilitate the filter removal for versions
FWV-FWM.
Ū For the ceiling installation FWL-FWM make sure that the instal-
lation height doesn't exceed the maximum indicated in figure
11.10  p. 61, to avoid an excessive hot air stratification in the upper
part of the room.
