1 General information
1.5 Intellectual property rights

All rights pertaining to these Instructions for Use, including
but not limited to photocopying and dissemination as
well as translation, are reserved for DeguDent GmbH.
Specifi cally, these Instructions for Use must not, whether
in whole or in part, be reproduced in any form (print,
photocopy, microfi lm or other technologies) and/or stored,
processed, copied or disseminated using electronic data
storage and retrieval systems without prior written approval
by DeguDent GmbH.
Violations of these rights will be prosecuted and will make
the guilty party liable for damages. All intellectual property,
trademark, service mark and other rights are reserved by
DeguDent GmbH.
1.6 Purpose
The Cercon ® heat plus P8 is a device for sintering Cercon
Zirkonoxid frameworks as per the instructions in
Section 3.
Any use outside or beyond those directions or specifi cations
does not constitute proper use. Any damage resulting
from such use will be the sole responsibility of the user
of the Cercon ® heat plus P8. The same is true of any
unauthorized changes to the unit. Proper use presupposes
compliance with all instructions on:
• Safety
• Operation
• Care, maintenance and troubleshooting
described in these Instructions for Use. The unit is intended
solely for dental laboratory use. Any use in other locations
or for other purposes requires prior written approval of
DeguDent GmbH.

1.7 Contraindications
The Cercon ® heat plus P8 is intended for professional
dental use only. The Cercon
professional dental use only. The use of Cercon
P8 for other activities other than dental use is not permitted.

The Cercon heat plus P8 may not be operated in areas
with a combustible atmosphere.
1.8 Warranty and liability
This device is subject to the conditions of the
DeguDent Limited Warranty. In addition, the following
conditions apply:
DeguDent will not honor warranty claims or accept liability
for any personal injury or property damage attributable to
one or more of the following causes:
• Any person in charge of the operation, deployment,
installation, maintenance, or repair of this unit must have
read and understood these Instructions for Use. There will
be no liability for any damage or operational irregularities

arising from non-observation of these Instructions for Use.
• Inappropriate use of the device.
• Improper or unauthorized deployment, installation,
commissioning, operation, or maintenance of the unit.
• Use of the unit in the presence of defective safety
installations or inappropriately installed or non-functional
safety or protection installations.
• Non-compliance with these Instructions for Use with
regard to shipping, storage, deployment, installation,
commissioning, operation, maintenance, or preparation.
• Unauthorized modifi cations to the device.
• Unauthorized modifi cation of operation parameters,
unauthorized modifi cation of other parameters and
settings, or unauthorized modifi cation of programs.
• DeguDent original parts and accessories are designed
specifi cally for DeguDent ovens. Use only original
DeguDent replacement parts. The use of other parts of
voids the warranty. DeguDent will not accept liability for
any damage caused by the use of non-original parts.
• Damage caused by catastrophic events, external
interaction, or force majeure.
