All DeguDent GmbH devices are designed and produced
using state-of-the-art technology and following all
recognize safety rules.
Nevertheless, using these devices may result in hazards to
operators or third parties or damage to the Cercon
plus P8 or other property, e.g. if:
• The unit is operated by untrained or not properly
instructed personnel.
• The unit is not employed for its appropriate uses.
• The unit has not been properly operated or maintained.
Use only qualifi ed and trained personnel to perform to
tasks described in these Instructions for Use. Observe any
applicable legal age restrictions!
Personnel to be trained or guided, including vocational
trainees, must work with the Cercon
continuously supervised by an experienced operator!
2.1 Moving and unpacking safety notes
Please observe the following safety instructions, especially
when moving and deploying the unit:
• The carton containing the unit and the unit itself are very
heavy (75 kg). Use appropriate load lifting tackle.
• The Cercon
®
heat plus P8 must be lifted and carried by
at least two persons. Use suitable carrying straps for
greater distances.
• Do not lift the unit by the lifting table when unpacking to
avoid damage to the guide rails and spindle drive.
• The unit is shipped in a cardboard case and is
protected from shock and damage by appropriate
interior packaging material. Please retain its packaging
material and reuse when repackaging.

2.2 Deployment and operation safety notes
To ensure the safe deployment and safe operation of the
unit, read and follow the following instructions:
• Before turning on the Cercon
time, leave the unit to rest at the intended place of em-
ployment for at least 24 hours to allow any moisture to
evaporate from the electrical system.
• Deploy the Cercon
®
heat plus P8 in a dry room (IP20) and
protect the unit from moisture and steam.
• Use the unit only in well-ventilated rooms. If necessary,
install an appropriate vacuum system, which must be op-
erative when the unit is in use.
• The table on which the unit is deployed must be capable
of safely sustaining the unit's weight of 75 kg.
• The surface of the table as well as the fl oor must be made
of non-fl ammable materials.
• Make sure to maintain a safety distance of 50 cm/19.69
in on all sides.
• Make sure that the bottom of the sintering chamber does
not have to bear loads of more than 2 kg.
• Before connecting the power cord, make sure that the
power switch is in the OFF position.
• Ensure that the unit is connected only to the appropri-
ate voltage (see Technical specifi cations and operating
environment).
• The Cercon
®
heat plus P8 must be the only device on
its circuit.
• The wall outlet must be grounded, located near the unit,
and easily accessible.
• When using extension cords, make sure that they are
fully grounded and that all cable cross-sections meet the
pertinent specifi cations.
• Immediate replace any damaged power or extension
cords.
• Make sure to operate the Cercon
the unit is in good technical shape and fully functional.
• All safety messages and warning labels on the
device must be legible. Damaged or illegible labels must
be replaced.
• Follow the safety instructions for Cercon
all times.
