8 Error messages and troubleshooting
8.4 Lifting table, emergency lowering
If the lifting table cannot be lowered by the rocker switch
during or after program execution, an emergency lower-
ing of the lifting table may be performed manually. Pull the
power supply plug before use the emergency lowering!
To do so, fi rst pull the power supply plug before loosen the
top cover of the Cercon
gency key (included) into the keyhole and turn it to manually
lower the lifting table (counterclockwise) .
Notice: Use emergency lowering only in case of elec-
tronic failure! Pull the power supply plug before use the
emergency lowering!
8.5 Power failure
The Cercon ® heat plus P8 offers a power failure protec-
tion feature. Depending to the temperature the following
steps have to be done:
• A power failure during the heating phase at a temperature
of below 100 °C results in the program being aborted.
• A power failure during the heating phase at a temperature
of above 100 °C results in the program being continued
from the current temperature.
• A power failure during the holding time for the fi nal
temperature results in the program being aborted if the
temperature was above 1000 °C at the time of the failure
and the temperature had dropped by more than 50 °C at
the time the power returned.
9 Disposal
This device is an electrical device pursuant to the German
law on the marketing, return and environmentally compatible
disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG).
The device has been labeled in compliance with the law
and marked with the following symbol:

8.6 Returning the unit
When returning units to DeguDent for repair, please follow
the instructions below:
• Units must be returned in their original packaging.
Secure the Cercon ® heat plus P8 well, Pat all protruding
parts, and feel any hollow spaces inside the package with
packaging material.
• Move the lifting table to the lower position before ship-
ping. Do not lift the unit by the lifting table.
• If the unit is damaged due to inappropriate packag-
ing, the extra cost incurred will have to be borne by the
sender.
• When placing the unit in storage for some time, protect it
from temperature extremes and from moisture. Always
place the unit on a level surface to prevent distortion of
the housing.
• The Cercon ® heat plus P8 is generally shipped without
accessories unless a technician expressly requests them.
• When shipping the unit, please include a detailed
description of the problem and your contact data in case
we have any questions.
• For units that are out of warranty, all shipping costs
(both ways), packaging material, etc. will have to be paid
for by the sender.
The device is not intended for private or
home use. It has been produced and
furnished for commercial use and must
be disposed of properly by the last user
pursuant to the regulation in the ElektroG.
