Read and understand the safety and operating instructions at the beginning of this
manual.
Oil level in the engine.
Fuel level
Condition of the air cleaner
Tightness of the external fasteners
Condition of the fuel lines.
Perform the procedure below to start the machine.
1.
Remove all the loads from the output side.
2.
Turn the ESC (a) switch to OFF position.
3.
Turn the air vent knob (b) to ON position
4.
Turn the switch to Choke (c) position.
NOTICE: Don't close the choke when starting the engine in a warm state.
5.
Pull the starter grip (d) until the resistance is felt, then pull it out briskly.
NOTE: Grasp the carrying handle firmly to prevent the generator from falling over when
pulling the recoil starter.
6.
Turn the choke knob (e) to the ON position after the engine is warm.
NOTICE: When starting the engine, with the ESC "ON" and there is no load on the
generatot: In ambient temperature below 0°C (32°F), the engine will run at the rated
(5000r/min) for 5 minutesto warm up the engine. In ambient temperature below 5°C
(41°F), the engine will run at the rated r/min (5000r/min) for 3 minutes to warm up the
engine. The ESC unit operates normally after the above time period while the ESC is
"ON".
