Ground drive belt replacement
a, Removehairpinclipand retainingpin (fig. 18) fromhub
ofleft handwheel. Pullwheel out from filler about 1-1/2
inches.
b. Removebelt guard by removingtwo (2) screws,one 0)
hexnutand three (3) washerssoth_ belt guam cans_ide
straight out away from engine (fig. 18).
c, Loosenbelt guide (fig.17-inset)
d. Remove old belt by slippingfrom idler pulley (fig. 17)
first.
e. Placenewbelt in groove totransmission pulley(largepul-
ley)and intogrooveof engine pulley (fig. 17). Belt must
be in grooveon top of idlerpulley (fig. 17). Note positon
of beltto guides.

Tine replacement
A badly worn fine causes your tiller to work harder and dig
shallower. Most imoortant, wom tines can not chop and shred
organic matter as effectively nor bu.ry it .as de?ply ,as good
tines. A fine this worn (fig. 19) neeas to De replaseo.
To maintain the superb tillingperformance fo this machine the
tines should be checked for sharpness, wear and be. n ding,
perticulary the tines which are next to the transmmsK)n,_ng.
20). ff the gap between the tines exceeds 3-1/2 inches, may
should be replaced or straightened as necessary.
Newtinesshouldbe assembledas shownin figure21. Sharp-
ened fine edgeswill rotate rearwardfrom above (fig.21).
CAUTIONI
Never tamper w_h the engine governor, which is factory set
for proper engine speed.
