Heat exchanger PWT 510 / PWT 910 / Important basic information
1.8 General information on the product
The heat exchanger PWT510/PWT910 with embossed plates consists of a structure with the following
components: fixed top plate (frame plate), moving plate (loose plate), stands or supports, upper guide rail,
lower guide rail and a certain number of expansion screws. The plates are packed between the fixed plate
and the loose plate using the expansion screws. Every plate is fitted with a seal so that the entirety of the
plate forms a closed system of parallel channels through which the warm and cold fluid flows alternately
(figure 1). The seals are not affixed to the plates. The fluids are prevented from mixing by the double seals
fitted around the holes, and which are provided with special drainage zones.
Every plate in the package is rotated 180° to the next one so that the fluids can flow alternately between
the individual plates (figure 1).
In the event that the heat exchanger needs to work with more than two fluids at once, additional spacer
plates will need to be added to the package.
