Heat exchanger PWT 510 / PWT 910 / Operation
7.4 Cleaning the plates
Pull the plates out of the frame and, if they are dirty or crusted, submerge them in a solution until the dirt
loosens and then rinse it off under plenty of running water (as in chapter 7.7).
7.4.1 Manual cleaning
Open the heat exchanger and separate the plates. Use a soft brush and a quality product for cleaning the
plates.
If there is heavy contamination with an organic material, the plates must be soaked, preferably in a
tub with the addition of a good cleaning agent. Do not, under any circumstances, use metal brushes,
sandpaper, etc. Neither the plates nor the seals can withstand being treated with hard cleaning tools.
If necessary, you can use a pressure washer, but with great care and without adding any abrasives. Wear
suitable protective equipment!
