2.4 Other dangers in the individual operating conditions
The heat exchanger must be serviced by qualified personnel, and only after:
checking the safety conditions in consideration of the accident prevention regulations;
verifying the absence of pressure within the heat exchanger;
consulting with the manufacturer.

WARNING!
RISK OF BURNING!
If the heat exchanger is not insulated, it may become very hot depending on the
operation. You must allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before working on it.
WARNING!
RISK OF INJURY!
If the heat exchanger is intentionally or unintentionally tensioned too tightly,
the expansion screws could break, endangering the operator and any bystand-
ers. As a result, you should never stand in front of the expansion screws when
tensioning.
WARNING!
RISK OF CHEMICAL BURNS DUE TO FLUIDS!
If the plates in the heat exchanger are eaten through, this may result in chemi-
cal burns from one of the two flow media. In this event, you must immediately
inform customer support and you must not touch or use the contaminated
fluid.
WARNING!
RISK OF POISONING BY BREATHING IN POISON GAS!
In the event that one or both of the fluids are toxic, you must make sure that
the vapours from these fluids are not breathed in.
WARNING!
RISK OF BURNING!
In the event that one or both of the fluids are flammable, you must take appro-
priate precautionary measures.
WARNING!
RISK OF INJURY AND/OR BURNING!
If the connectors (primarily made from PTFE or PP) are closed more than is
permitted, they may break and pose a risk to the operator and any bystanders.
