Press the button with your symbol briefly. The symbol
button is illuminated in green colour. All digits and func-
tion symbols in the display are momentarily lit up to
indicate that the unit is now ready for use.

Note for guest mode:
If the measurement shall not be stored (guest mode),
the measurement is started by pressing both buttons
briefly at once. No button is illuminated.
At the first measurement after fitting the batteries the
unit automatically inflates the cuff to approx. 160 mmHg.
The rising cuff pressure is displayed by the moving
digits. Should the pressure not be sufficient the unit
increases this automatically by approx. 40 mmHg.
During the next measurement the inflation height
orientates itself against the result of the last measure-
ment (memomatic function: inflation value = Systole of
last measurement + 40 mmHg).
When the correct pressure is reached the pump switches
off and the air is automatically released from the cuff.
While the blood pressure is being taken the drop in cuff
pressure is again digitally displayed and symbol
is lit up. Remember to remain perfectly still and not to
speak.
