(DIN)JMIC position depending on how the unit is connected to
amplifier— either through LINE IN socket or through DIN socket,

To suppress tape hiss, set the DOLBY NR switch to the-ON
position and choose either B or C type noise reduction.
If this
circuit is not needed,
set the DOLBY
NR switch to the OFF
position.
e Recordings made with the DOLBY NR circuit on must be played
with this circuit on for the best results.

@ Pushing the RECORD button will turn off the SINGLE PRO-

® If the cassette tabs have been broken off, pushing the RECORD
button will not set the unit in the recording stand-by mode.
When recording both sides, if one of the tabs on the cassette
has been broken off, this will not allow both sides to be
recorded.
Recording from side A to B can be done, however, recording

the record level meter off and on. If the level is set too high, the
recording will have distortion, and if set too low, the recarding
will have noise.
@ When recording from an FM tuner that provides an AJR-CHECK
calibrator, activate the calibrator and turn the RECORD LEVEL
controls down to the "O" position and then adjust the controls
sa that the peak Jevel meter shows constant illumination at "—3
dB".
Push the PLAY Button to start recording.
@ The volume and tone controls on an amplifier may be adjusted
with no effect on the recording level input signal.
