4. Inspect belt to ensure that it is in good condition. If belt is cracked,
gouged or broken, replace it (see following section).
5. Insert brush roll through belt and position belt over gear teeth (D)

on brush roll.
6. With curved ends down, slide end plates (C) of brush roll into slots

(E) on tool.
7. Replace belt guard (B) making sure not to pinch brush bristles in

guard. Turn agitator, to make sure it rotates freely.
Replace and tighten screws.
8. To replace bottom plate (A), insert the four tabs on edge of bottom

plate into slots on front of tool.
Pivot bottom plate down and snap closed.
