9.3 Safety and warnings/residual risks
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
•
Never hold the plug of the mains cable with damp or wet hands when plugging in
or unplugging the appliance.
•
Install and connect the appliance only in accordance with the description in the
instruction manual.
•
In an emergency, pull the plug out of the plug socket immediately.
•
Remove the plug from the plug socket before starting cleaning or service work.
•
A damaged power supply cable must be replaced by our After Sales Service
without delay.
•
If the cable or plug is damaged, do not use the appliance any more.
•
Do not carry out any work on the appliance other than the cleaning and service
work described in this instruction manual.
FIRE HAZARD!
An inadequate circulation of air can cause a build-up of heat that can lead to a fire.
•
It is essential to observe the prescribed clearances for the rear, side and top of
the appliance (see Minimum Clearances chapter).
•
Keep the compressor and condenser (depending on model) free of dust and
objects.
APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
Plastic parts exposed frequently or for prolonged periods to oils or acids (animal or
vegetable) age faster and can crack or break.
