If no suction hose is connected to the vacuum
cleaner, the air inlet must therefore be closed with

• ATTENTION – The suction hose is equipped with
a plug-in system
(M
03). The suction hose must be
wound up after disassembly and its ends must be
plugged into each other to prevent dust residues
from escaping (see page *5* - figures 4a.-4c.). This
plug-in system prevents the accidental escape of
harmful dust when the suction hose is dismantled
(e.g. during transport). The suction hose can then
be fixed to the suction head using the hose and
cable holder (see page *6* - B 06).
• ATTENTION – The vacuum cleaner is equipped
with a safety grille/barrier element (see page *3* - B
08) at the air outlet. This must be left in place to pro-
tect your health. The vacuum cleaner must not be
used for blowing so that no harmful dusts (e.g. from
the suction hose) can get into the environment.
5.5 Dry vacuuming
• WARNING – Never use the device for the vacu-
uming of flammable, explosive or acidic dusts and
substances!
• Ensure a correctly installed, intact and – where
possible – empty fleece filter bag before you begin
working (F – see page *7* – Illustration 7a.–7c.).
• Ensure a correctly installed, intact and – where
possible – clean cartridge filter before you begin
working (B 11 – see page *9* – Illustration 11a. and
11b.).
• Switch on the vacuum cleaner (switch position
I – see page *10* – Illustration 12b.). Please read
Chapter 5.7 – Working with add-ons, e.g. power
tools when operating the device with add-ons.
5.6 Wet vacuuming
• WARNING – Never use the device for the vacu-
uming of flammable, explosive or acidic liquids!

• The fleece filter bag (F) must be removed before
wet vacuuming. Please read Chapter 6.3 – Fleece
filter bag replacement.
• Ensure a correctly installed, intact and – where
possible – clean cartridge filter before you begin
working (B 11).
• Ensure that any construction dust is removed
from the industrial vacuum cleaner before com-
mencing with wet vacuuming, as the industrial
vacuum cleaner can otherwise be damaged
long-term.
• ATTENTION – The vacuum cleaner is not suitable
for the vacuuming of coolants or greases, as well
as any type of foams.
• Switch on the vacuum cleaner (switch position
I – see page *10* – Illustration 12b.). Please read
Chapter 5.7 – Working with add-ons, e.g. power
tools when operating the device with add-ons.
• Switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately if any
liquid or foam is expelled from the housing. Please
read chapter 7 – Error handling and troubleshoot-
ing.
• ATTENTION – The vacuum cleaner must not be
tilted during wet vacuuming operation or work
interruption.
• Wet vacuuming will be stopped by a stop cock
float as soon as the max. container fill level is
reached. The container must therefore be emptied
when vacuum performance decreases or latest
when the max. permissible container fill level (C
01) is reached. Please read Chapter 6.2 – Container
evacuation when wet vacuuming.
Caution! Press the semi-automatic Filter
Refresh function button (B 02 – see page
*10* – illustration 13a.) 3 times for 10 seconds
each time to clean the cartridge filter (B 11) at the
end of the work day or when taking an extended
break.
• Please read Chapter 6.2 – Container evacuation
when wet vacuuming – at the end of your work day
and clean the waste container as described in the
manual.
5.7 Working with add-ons, e.g. power tools (see
page *10*)
• CAUTION – Only connect add-on devices to the
power socket on the vacuum cleaner that match
the permissible target connection values of min.
30 W to max. 2000 W and the stated mains voltage
and mains frequency. (Figures 14a. and 14b.)
• The power socket is designed solely for the pur-
poses described in the operating manual.
• Read the operating instructions and the safety
instructions contained therein for the add-on
device before connecting it to the vacuum cleaner.
• Switch off the vacuum cleaner (switch position
0 – Illustration 12a.) before plugging in an add-on
device and ensure that the add-on device is also
switched off.
• Select Automatic operation on the vacuum
cleaner (switch position II – Illustration 12c.). You
can then activate the add-on device. The vacuum
cleaner will activate automatically.
• The vacuum cleaner will automatically deactivate
after a preset delay when the add-on device is
switched off.
5.8 Antistatic
The vacuum cleaner has an antistatic preparation
to prevent sparks and/or power surges in case of
physical contact.
The use of the optional antistatic accessory is pre-
requisite to full availability of the antistatic system
(see also Chapter 10. Functional accessories and
peripherals).
6. Maintenance and service
6.1 General information
DANGER – The operator must only carry out
simple cleaning, maintenance and care tasks in-
dependently, provided these tasks can be carried
out without endangering the user or other people!
Example of such tasks are the evacuation and
cleaning of the waste container, replacement of
the fleece filter bag and cartridge filter as well as
the external cleaning of the machine housing.
The mains plug must be disconnected from the
mains socket before carrying out any work on the
device!
Do not use water or other liquid cleaning agents,
or care products containing silicone or solvents!
Never submerge the hose in water for cleaning.
We recommend cleaning the device thoroughly
after each use.
Make sure that the ventilation slits in the suction
head are unencumbered and clean at all times!
You can use a dry cloth or a soft brush. We recom-
mend cleaning the device after each use.
The outside of the vacuum cleaner and the inside
of the dust container should be wiped with a moist
cloth regularly and during maintenance.
Check the connection cable, mains plug, ON/OFF
switch and other device components regularly for
visual damage before commencing work and have
them replaced by the MENZER repair service as
needed!
Check the correct position and proper seating of
the fleece filter bag and cartridge filter regularly
before commencing work.
All repairs on the device and any works that entail
opening any of the housing components of the
suction head and its peripherals must be carried
out by the MENZER repair service!
Do not use sharp or pointed utensils for mainte-
nance-related assembly or disassembly tasks.
