4. RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
OPERATOR SAFETY
Attention! There is a risk of accident for the users themselves and others if the unit is used
improperly and/or safety precautions are not followed. Appropriate clothing and safety
equipment should be worn when operating the unit.
Please read this Manual carefully.
Make sure you understand how to operate this unit properly before using it.
Wear shoes with non-slip soles.
Do not wear open-toed shoes or work barefoot.
Wear appropriate clothing to cover your legs and other exposed parts of your body.
Wear eye, breathing, and hearing protection devices.
Tie your hair up so that it is above your shoulders.
Use Caution When Handling Fuel
The fuel tank may be under pressure.
Always loosen the fuel cap and wait until the pressure is equalized before removing the cap.
Replace the fuel caps securely on both the fuel can and the fuel tank.
Move at least 3 m away from the fueling location and make sure there is no fuel leaking from the cap or
fuel system before starting the engine.
Wipe any spilled fuel out of the unit.
Operate this gasoline-powered engine only in a well-ventilated area.
Do not operate this unit in enclosed areas such as garages, inside buildings, shelters, etc.
Start the unit on the floor with the throttle lever in the start position.
Do not use the unit on unstable floors.
Do not allow other people or animals in the area when starting or using the unit.
Do not point the discharge nozzle in the direction of people or animals.
Always hold the unit firmly.
Keep hands and body away from hot surfaces such as the muffler and cylinder area when handling the
unit to avoid burns.
Never attempt to use the machine incomplete or with an unauthorized modification.
A fully charged unit will alter your balance.
Extra precautions should be taken to maintain your support and balance.
This unit is designed for upright use only, do not lay it down or tilt it excessively to prevent chemical
leakage when being operated and transported.
