Attention! Do not use the equipment for purposes other than those specified in this manual.
Attention! Running the equipment out of control can cause damage as well as accidents.
The engine must be started at least 3 meters away from the tank filling location, in open and
ventilated places, without danger of poisoning by exhaust gases.
To start with the engine hot, observe the following steps:
01 - Operate the ignition switch to the "On" position (I).
02 - Remain with the choke in the Open position.
03 - If the tank is not empty, pull the starter.
04 - If it is empty, then, after refueling, press down on the injector (pump) until the fuel is visible in the fuel
return pipe.
05 - Pull the starter.
NOTE: Repeated attempts to start with the choke closed will cause the equipment to soak. In this condition,
start with the choke open. After starting, allow the engine to warm up at idle for about two to three minutes.
NOTE: If the engine does not start after four attempts, use the cold start procedure.
Procedure for unsoaking the engine.
After several unsuccessful starting attempts, the engine may end up soaking, in which case proceed as
follows:
01 - Remove and dry the spark plug.
02 - Turn the engine with the spark plug hole down.
03 - Pull the starter cable several times, until the excess fuel is removed from the cylinder.
04 - Unturn the machine, dry the gasoline that came out through the spark plug hole.
05 - Reinstall the spark plug and start with the choke deactivated.
Idle speed adjustment
Idle speed is set at the factory but may require adjustment to maintain a stable engine speed.
To do this, turn the idle speed adjustment screw clockwise to increase speed and counterclockwise to
decrease it.
Attention! The idle speed should be adjusted five minutes after starting the engine.
Attention! Adjust the idle speed in such a way that the pump is not triggered.
