Pull the starter grip slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and then give it a brisk strong pull.
Do not pull out the starter rope all
the way - it might otherwise break.
:
Do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing
so that it can rewind properly.
:
When engine begins to fire:
Move choke lever to e and
continue cranking.
:
As soon as engine runs,
immediately blip the throttle trigger
so that the slide control moves to #
and the engine settles down to idling
speed.
:
Move the blade lock lever to z
To stop the engine:
:
Move slide control to O

At very low outside temperatures:
Allow engine to warm up.
:
As soon as the engine runs:
:
Blip the throttle trigger so that the
slide control moves to # and the
engine settles down to idling speed.
:
Open the throttle slightly – warm up
engine for short period.
If the engine does not start:
:
If you did not move the choke
lever to e quickly enough after
the engine began to fire, the
combustion chamber has flooded.

Pull off the spark plug boot (7).
:
Unscrew and dry off the spark plug.
:
Move the slide control to O
:
Open the throttle wide.
:
Crank the engine several times with
the starter to clear the combustion
chamber.
:
Refit the spark plug and connect the
boot - push it down firmly.
:
Move the slide control to #
:
Set the choke lever to e –
even if the engine is cold.
:
Now start the engine.
Fuel tank run until dry and then
refueled

:
Press the fuel pump bulb (5) at least
five times - even if bulb is filled with
fuel.
:
Now start the engine.
