- With the machine turned ON, press the "wire winch" key to manually advance the wire until it is verified
that the wire is positioned at the end of the torch. If necessary, remove the contact tip of the torch and straighten
its cable as much as possible.
8. FUNCTIONS
8.1 MIG/MAG WELDING
- Make the necessary connections to mains and earth as described in "Installation".
- Install the wire coil as indicated on the previous chapter WIRE COIL INSTALLATION.
- Connect input gas tube to gas inlet on machine rear panel and to the flowmeter on gas bottle.
- Adjust gas flow 6 l/min and 12 l/min according to the value of the current.
- Turn the main switch on front panel to ON position.
- The Power ON indicator lights, indicating that machine is under voltage.
- Open gas bottle flowmeter and press the gas test key button. Gas must flow until complete elimination of the
air of the torch. To stop gas flow release key button.
Compact models:
- Connect the COMMON cable to the positive socket and connect the ground clamp cable to the negative
socket by rolling them firmly to the right until a perfect contact is ensured.
- Connect the MIG/MAG torch to the Euro Mig socket. With torch cooler module, connect the torch water hoses
to the respective sockets.
Modular models:
- Connect the ground clamp cable to the negative socket located on the front panel of the machine by rolling it
firmly to the right until a perfect contact is ensured.
- Connect the interconnection cable from the machine to the wire feeder.
- Connect the MIG/MAG torch to the Euro Mig socket on the front panel of the wire feeder. With torch cooler
module, connect the torch water hoses to the respective sockets.
- Select MIG/MAG welding mode with 2 Times torch mode (when MIG/MAG and 2T LEDs are on), with 4 Times
torch mode (when MIG/MAG and 4T LEDs are on) or with SPOT mode (when MIG/MAG and SPOT LEDs are
on) at selector 7 (Fig.5).
2 Times mode - When selected, indicates that the machine is in 2 Times mode. To perform continuous welding
in 2 Times mode the gun trigger must be continuously pressed.
