7.1 CONNECTION TO THE MAIN SUPPLY
This unit must be connected to a three-phase 400V - 50 Hz/60 Hz + ground.
Main supply must be protected by fuses or circuit breaker according to the value I1eff written on the
specifications of the power source.
It is strongly suggested to use a differential protection for the operator's safety.
7.2 CONNECTION TO EARTH
For the operator's protection, the power source must be correctly grounded (according to the International
Protection Norms).
It is necessary to set a good earth connection with the green/yellow wire of the power cable. This will avoid
discharges caused by accidental contacts with grounded pieces. If no earth connection has been set, a high risk
of electric shock through the chassis of the unit remains possible.
7.3 WIRE COIL INSTALLATION (MIG/MAG welding)
1
- Unscrew the retaining nut (1 - Fig.2) to place the wire coil on the wire coil holder (4-fig.1). Confirm that
the breaking system (2- Fig.2) is operative, with spindle (5- Fig.2) correctly inserted in the breaking hole (3-
Fig.2). After the wire coil is installed, tighten the retaining nut.
- After this, the wire coil breakage system must be regulated, if necessary, with the retaining screw (2-
fig.7). The rotation movement of the wire coil must stop at the same time as the motor.

Models 300 / 400
- The rolls (8- Fig.3) and the torch contact tip (9- Fig.4) must correspond to the diameter of the wire to
be used.
- Drive the wire through the rolls (8- Fig.3) and the wire guide (7- Fig.3), advancing it by hand a few
centimeters. Close the traction levers (6- Fig.3), checking that the wire is positioned on the groove of the roll. To
adjust the pressure of the traction levers on the wire, the adjusting screw (5- Fig.3) must be carefully tightened
until the wire is advanced. This adjustment must be completed with the machine in operation avoiding very
forced adjustments that cause the wire to collapse.
