8.3 –TIG WELDING
- Make the necessary connections to mains and earth as described in "Installation".
- Connect the COMMON cable to the negative plug and connect the earth clamp to the positive plug, turning it
to right to assure a perfect electric contact.
- Connect Euro / TIG plug adaptor to the Euro Mig plug and the TIG torch to that adaptor as indicated on Fig. 7.
- Connect gas tube to gas connection of the Euro / TIG plug adaptor plug.
- Connect TIG torch control cable to the Euro / TIG plug adaptor plug.
- Connect input gas tube to gas inlet on machine rear panel and to the flowmeter on gas bottle.
- Adjust gas flow 6 l/min and 12 l/min according to the value of the current.
- Apply a tungsten electrode on TIG torch. The electrode must be sharpening according the welding method:
TIG DC (tip sharpen).
- Turn the main switch on rear panel to ON position.
- The Power ON indicator lights, indicating that machine is under voltage.

Adjust the welding current (2 – Fig.8) by means of the left knob 3
2
(Fig.8). During welding, this parameter is continuously active (by
turning knob 3 (Fig. 8), the welding current is regulated.
Percentage increase of the current value in relation to Ip (main
current), applied at the 16omento f ignition and welding start by
pressing the right knob 7 (Fig.8) until LED 1 (Fig.9) lights up and
turning the same knob.
Time elapsed since the welding start when the "Hot Start" value
Start
must be valid by pressing the right knob 7 (Fig.8) until the LED 2
(Fig.8) lights up and turning the same knob.
To prevent the electrode from sticking to the workpiece during
welding, vary the amplitude of the Arc Force current in relation to
the main current. For values with sign (-), the Arc Force transition
will be more abrupt. For values with sign (+), the Arc Force
transition will be smoother by pressing the right button 7 (Fig.8)
until LED 2 (Fig.8) lights up and turning the same button. You can
deactivate the ARC FORCE function by turning knob 7 (Fig.8) to
the left until the right digital display shows OFF.
