RECOIL STARTER ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLING THE RECOIL STARTER
ASSEMBLY
1. Install:
• Starter rope
Installing steps:
(1)Insert the starter rope through the rope
holes and then tie a knot on the end of
the rope.
(2)Wind the starter rope 2-1/2 turns around
the sheave drum.
(3)Place the starter rope at the cutaway of
the sheave drum.
2. Install:
• Spiral spring
WARNING
When installing the spiral spring onto the
starter case, take care so that the spiral
spring does not pop out. To help the spring
stay compressed, wind it from the outside,
one turn each time.
3. Install:
• Sheave drum
NOTE:
Position the inner end of the spiral spring on
the retainer post of the sheave drum.
