PREPARATION
The following parts are included in the packaging for assembly of the mower:
Mower with preassembled guide bar and support bar
Baffle plate
Tool bag with the following contents:
Operating instructions with declaration of conformity
Warranty conditions (depending on model)
Various fixing parts.
In the unlikely event of a missing part, please contact your dealer.
Raise the guide bar (figure A1 + B1 + E1)
Open out the Z-shaped folded guide bar by pulling upwards A1.
IMPORTANT
When raising the guide bar, ensure that the Bowden cables do not
become jammed or twisted.
When the upper and lower sections of the guide bar are on the same level,
tighten the knurled nuts (1) firmly by hand E1.
At the lower section of the guide bar, firmly tighten the nuts (2) on both sides
B1.
IMPORTANT
Make sure that the cables are not pinched, squeezed, twisted or
overstretched when the guide bars are folded apart or collapsed! Always
run the cables along the outside of the bar connection. A damaged cable
may result in a technical defect of the device.
Support bar assembly (figure W3 + D1)
Push the two screws (1) through the lower section of the bar and place a
washer (2) on each (from the tool bag).
On the inside of the lower part of the bar, set the support bar (3) to one of
the three positions to set the different bar angles:
Top notch = steep bar setting (for taller users)
Bottom notch = flat bar setting (for shorter users)
Then place a washer (2) on each side and fasten with a nut (4).
Tighten the two nuts (5) by hand to fix the support bar to the housing.
IMPORTANT
When adjusting the bar height using the support bar, the nuts (2) B1 for
fastening the lower part of the bar do not have to be loosened.
Only loosen the nuts (4) W3 to the extent necessary to allow the bar to
move freely during this task.
This prevents the bar from folding over unintentionally and crush points
between the lower part of the bar and the housing are avoided.
Attaching the motor-brake Bowden cable to the motor (figure H2)
Feed in the angle at the end of the Bowden cable (1) from above until the
kink in the brake gear lever (2).
Pull the movable part of the end of the Bowden cable (3) backwards until the
wire cable (4) can be fed into the recess (5) from the side.
Then push the Bowden cable (3) forwards until the snap hook (6) clicks into
place in the Bowden cable mounting recess (5).
ATTENTION
After attaching the motor-brake Bowden cable, the brake function of the
safety control bar must be tested. As soon as the control bar is released,
the cutter bar must come to a standstill within three seconds. If this is not
the case, please consult your nearest authorised workshop.
Assembling the baffle plate (figure T1)
For explanation of symbols, see the table on page 5
IMPORTANT
Operating the device without a baffle plate may lead to injuries caused by
objects being thrown into the air. Only operate the device with a baffle plate.
Fold out the mounting bracket of the baffle plate.
Screw the baffle plate into place in the mower housing using the pre-
assembled screws in the bracket.
CAUTION
When not paying due care and attention, fingers may be crushed when
opening the live baffle plate.
Adjusting the cutting height (figure I + I1)
For explanation of symbols, see the table on page 5
At each wheel, pull the lever (1) towards the wheel and click it back into the
desired position by pushing it to the side I.
All four levers should be in the same position!
CAUTION
When adjusting the cutting height, hold the adjusting lever as shown in
figure I1. This prevents hands from slipping during adjustment and injuries
from occurring.
IMPORTANT
You should only use your mower at the lowest cutting height on even and
flat lawn surfaces!
Please note that the lower cutting height settings are only to be used under
optimum conditions. If your selected cutting height is too low, the sward
may be damaged and even destroyed.
In addition to the cutting height, the driving speed also influences the
cutting pattern and the collection result. Adjust the cutting height and the
driving speed to the grass height to be cut; do not switch on the autodrive,
if applicable.
Inserting the charged battery (figure V1)
The handling of the charger and battery/batteries is
described in the relevant separate operating
instructions. In particular, read and follow the safety
information! Charge the battery/batteries completely
before initial use!
