● Operation
● Note the following when
mowing and mulching
The following instructions help you use the device effec-
tively and safely. Improper handling of the device can
cause damage to it.

The device can be operated with or without
collecting bag. You should only operate the device
without the collecting bag (mulching) when trim
ming the lawn just a little shorter (max. 2 cm).
Always keep the discharge flap closed when
mulching.

Mow slowly and try not to use the entire cutting
width to cut the grass evenly at high rotation speed.
A high cutting load reduces the blade's rotation
speed.

Remove any branches, pegs, stones, strings and
mounds (molehills) before mowing to safeguard the
device.

Always mow in the direction facing away from the
power supply and the power cable.

Always push the device forward; pulling the device
might damage the power cable.
● Adjusting the handlebar
position
You can adjust the handlebars to a comfortable working
height or fold them for transport or storage. Adjust the
handlebars to your individual working height before
working with the device.

Slightly unscrew the two wing nuts 10 on the
handlebar mount 11 by turning them counter-clock
wise.
□
Adjust the handlebars to the desired position. Three
markings on the locking discs and one marking on
the handlebar mount 11 help you to find the correct
position. In this process, make sure that the toothing
of the two engaging washers correctly and symmetri
cally engages with the two handlebar mounts 11 .

Tighten the wing nuts 10 handtight by turning them
clockwise.

● Adjusting the cutting height
The cutting height adjustment mechanism 13 can be set
to 7 levels, whereby level 1 is the lowest cutting height.

Hold the device at the carry handle 15 .
□
Pull the cutting height adjustment mechanism 13
from the engaged position.
□
Push the cutting height adjustment mechanism 13 to
the desired level.
In this process, the device is raised or lowered.

● Preparing for operation
If possible, use a supply cable allowing you to reach the
entire lawn surface. Avoid using extension multiple exten
sion cords.

Check device, cuttings collection bag 7 and
blades before connecting the device to the power
supply.
You can also use the device for mulching by oper
ating it without the grass catcher bag 7 .
□
Adjust the desired cutting height before connecting
the device to the power supply.
□
Check the handlebars' position and correct it (if
necessary) so you can work comfortably.
□
Completely route the supply cable along the edge of
the lawn.
□
Secure the supply cable on the pull relief 4 .
□
Connect the connector of the supply cable to the
socket 20 .
□
Plug the supply cable plug into a properly installed
socket.
● Switching the motor on and
off
The motor will only switch on once a safety switch 3 is
being pressed. The motor stops upon releasing the safety
switch 3 . Only activate the motor on the lawn.
□
Place the device on the lawn.
□
Press and hold the start button 1 .
□
Press and hold one of the safety switches 3 .
The motor starts up.
