Printing Securely from a Computer
Secure Printing
Secure Printing enables you to securely print confidential documents (print data). You assign a
password and send them to the machine from your computer. To print out these documents, you
need to enter the appropriate password at the machine.

We recommend that the printer driver is installed through a network.
•
To use the Secure Printing function, connect the machine and computer via a network.
•
If you cannot select [Secured Print] for [Output Method], display the [Device Settings] sheet and select the
[Allow Use of Secured Print] check box.
Printing methods may differ depending on the application you are using. For details, see the instruction
manuals provided with the application.
Sending a Secure Print Job

Open the printer driver screen from the application .

Click [Preferences] (or [Properties]) .

Click [Page Setup] at the printer driver screen .
