CAUTION - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:
• Connect directly to power source using the included Battery Clamps
when operating above 275 watts.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• If the voltage of the DeWALT® 20V Battery Pack is low or it has
insufficient output power, the AC Outlets and the USB Ports will
automatically shuts down. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section.
• If the DeWALT® 20V Battery Pack is overheated or is too cold, the
AC Outlets and the USB Ports will automatically shut down. Refer to
the "Troubleshooting" section.
Connecting to a Power Source Using the
supplied 12 Volt DC Adapter Plug (up to
140W only)
The 12VDC Adapter Plug is suitable for operating the inverter at power
outputs up to 120 watts.
1. Make sure no battery clamps or DeWALT® 20V battery pack
connected to the unit.
2. Insert the double barrel connector on the 12VDC adapter plug to
the 12VDC Adapter Plug Input Port on the unit.
3. Connect the 12VDC adapter plug to a vehicle's accessory outlet or
other 12 volt DC power source. Make sure there is adequate space
for proper ventilation of the inverter.
4. Rotate the plug slightly to make sure there is good contact.
5. Press and hold the power button for one second to turn the inverter
on. A beep will sound, the backlit LCD and the 12VDC Adapter Plug
Input LED Indicator will activate to indicate the inverter is operating
properly and the 120 volt AC Outlets are ready to power appliances that
draw up to 115W continuous. The USB outlets are turned on as well.
Notes:
• Refer to "Power and Fault Indicators on the LCD Display" for an
explanation of the operating and fault icons. If a fault icon appears,
refer to the "Protective Features" section and the "Troubleshooting"
section of this manual.
• If the inverter does not work when using the vehicle accessory
outlet, make sure the ignition/accessory switch is actually powering
the accessory outlet. Some vehicles require the ignition switch to be
turned on.
• Ensure that the wattage of all equipment simultaneously plugged into
the inverter does not exceed 115 watts continuous.
• Most vehicle accessory outlet circuits have fuses rated at 15 to 20
amps or greater. To operate at full wattage, either use the battery
clamps (supplied) or directly wire to the power source with user-
supplied wire and fuse (not supplied).
CAUTIONS – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:
• Connect directly to power source using the included Battery Clamps
or a DeWALT® 20V battery pack when operating above 115 watts.
• Do not use with positive ground electrical systems.
• Reverse polarity connection will result in a blown fuse and may cause
permanent damage to the inverter.
Connection To Load
The Power Inverter is equipped with dual standard North American
three-prong type outlets. Plug the cord from the equipment you wish
to operate into the AC receptacle(s). Make sure the combined load
requirement of your equipment does not exceed maximum continuous
power.
The Power Inverter is engineered to be connected directly to standard
electrical and electronic equipment in the manner described above.
Do not connect the Power Inverter to household or RV AC distribution
wiring. Do not connect the Power Inverter to any AC load circuit in
which the neutral conductor is connected to ground (earth) or to the
negative of the DC (battery) source.
WARNING: Do not connect to AC distribution wiring!
