Operating Instructions
120 Volt AC Power Outlets
The two standard North American 120 volt AC Outlets, the USB-C
port and the USB-A port are ready to use once the inverter is properly
connected to a functioning power source and the power button is
pressed and hold for one second to turn the unit on. They allow
simultaneous operation of multiple devices. Simply plug the 110/120
volt AC appliance into one of the inverter's three-prong AC Outlets and
operate normally.
The AC Outlet Icon, 12VDC Input Icon or Battery Pack Input Icon and
the USB Icon light solid and the Digital Readout shows "XXXW". The
bars on the Battery Icon represent the voltage level of the connected
source.
The Battery Clamps Input LED Indicator, 12VDC Adapter Plug Input
LED Indicator or DeWALT® 20V Battery Pack Input LED Indicator lights
depending the power source connected.
Notes:
• Press the power button shortly will change to display of the wattage
to the voltage of the power source. Press the button shortly again to
return to the wattage display.
• Press and hold the power button for one second to turn the unit off.
Monitor the battery status on the LCD Screen. Four solid bars in the
Battery Icon indicates a full battery. When the battery level is nearly
empty, only one solid bar displayed.
Important Notes Concerning the AC Power Outlets
• The two AC Power Outlets provide a combined total power draw of
1000W when the unit is powered by the supplied clamps; 300W (up
to 275W for the AC Outlets and up to 25W for the USB Ports) when
the unit is powered by a DeWALT® 20V battery pack (not included); or
140W when the unit is powered by the supplied 12VDC adapter plug
(up to 115W for the AC Outlets and up to 25W for the USB Ports).
• The unit defaults to show wattage of the power consumption of the
appliances connected to the AC outlets. The power consumption of
the USB ports will not display on the LCD screen.
• When the unit connected to power sources through the supplied
battery clamps and the supplied 12VDC vehicle adapter plug or a
DeWALT® 20V Battery Pack at the same time, the prior output is
1000W using the battery clamps.
• If the unit is powered by the supplied battery clamps, and then you
install a DeWALT® 20V battery pack or the supplied 12VDC adapter
plug to the unit, you can not switch the power source unless the power
source the battery clamps connected is low voltage protection.
Or if the unit is powered by a DeWALT® 20V battery pack or the
supplied 12VDC adapter plug, and then you connect the supplied
battery clamps to the unit, you can not switch the power source unless
the DeWALT® 20V battery pack or the power source the supplied
12VDC adapter plug connected is low voltage protection.
• If you want to change the input power source, disconnect the
appliances first, turn the unit off and then disconnect the current
power source. Wait for one minute before change to another input
power source.
• If the unit is at overload condition, the AC Outlets and the USB Ports
shut down automatically. Turn the unit off and disconnect the load from
AC outlets. Turn the unit on and the USB ports may operate normally.
When the AC Power Outlets are in use, the unit will monitor for the
following fault conditions: thermal fault, low battery voltage fault,
overload and short circuit (refer to the "Protective Features" section).
