Filter drum is partially
soiled, cannot be cleaned

is flowing via the emer-
gency overflow.

is flowing via the emer-
gency overflow.

Possible cause
Filter pump not switched on
Supply to filter system or return to pond
blocked
Bottom drain, pipe or hose blocked
Hose kinked
Excessive loss in lines
Insufficient pump capacity
Water is extremely soiled
Dirt particles are not reaching the Drum
Filter Module.
Too many pond animals
Screen elements clogged or damaged
Drum seal incorrectly positioned
Drum seal is damaged
Large dirt particles have collected in the
filter drum
Large particles of dirt such as string algae
are blocking the dirt channel.
Rinsing nozzle clogged
Screen elements clogged
Pump capacity too high
Pipe of the dirt outlet is blocked.
Screen elements clogged
Water level in the pond is too high.
Pipe of the dirt outlet is blocked.
The control system checks the function of
the level detection device.
•
This check is started automatically if
too few automatic cleaning procedures
have been carried out.
Cable not connected
Control system has switched off due to
overheating (temperature switch)
Safety fuse has tripped due to a blockage
of the rinsing pump (excessive current
consumption)
Harmless food-grade oil may leak from a
new rinsing pump for a short time when
first used
Remedy
Switch on the filter pump, connect the power
plug
Clean the supply and/or return
Clean, replace if necessary
Check hose, and replace if necessary
Reduce line length to necessary minimum
Adjust the pump capacity accordingly
•
Remove algae and leaves from the pond
•
If the water is particularly contaminated,
change 30 % of the water to avoid damage to
the fish.
•
Optimize the water flow so that the skimmer
and/or the filter pump can draw in the dirt
particles.
•
Align the skimmer and/or filter pump in rela-
tion to the water flow so that they can draw
in dirt particles.
Reduce number of pond animals
Clean or replace screen elements
Check the position of the drum seal
Replace the drum seal
Remove a screen element and remove dirt par-
ticles from the filter drum
Remove a screen element and clean the dirt
channel.
Clean the rinsing nozzle, replace if necessary
Clean/descale the screen elements
Reduce the pump capacity
Clean the pipe
Clean/descale the screen elements
Drain water from the pond.
Clean the pipe
•
Wait. The check takes a maximum of
24 hours.
•
The check is completed once the level detec-
tion function is triggered. An automatic
cleaning procedure is carried out.
•
If the level detection device is not triggered
within 24 hours, Er22 is displayed. The time-
dependent cleaning cycle is activated.

Check cable connection
Protect the control system from heat and allow
it to cool down
•
The control system will switch back on auto-
matically when it has cooled down.
•
Error message Er66 gives a warning before
the control system overheats.
Clean the rinsing pump (→ Cleaning the rinsing
pump)
Replace the fuse (→ Technical data)
No measures required
