Measure the required length of the exhaust double
duct. The minimum permitted length after shorten­
ing is 60 cm.
Before shortening, align the ends of the gas­tight
adapter and the air supply duct so that they are flush
(Fig. 2). Mark the required length on both ducts.
Clamp the ducts in a suitable device. Shorten them
with a hacksaw or angle grinder with disc (Fig. 3).
The exhaust double duct must not be shortened
at the point where the gas­tight adapter is fitted
(Fig. 4), only at the open end of the duct.
Compress the outer duct by about 10 cm. This
makes it easier to bend it in the next work steps.
Attaching the lock washer
Use a suitable blunt tool (e.g. a screwdriver) to press
the insulation into the exhaust duct (Fig. 5­1).
Make sure that the duct retains its original round
shape. If necessary, use a suitable tool to even out
dents or deformations that occurred when it was
shortened.
Place the lock washer (Fig. 6­1) on the centring pin
(Fig. 6­2) of the lock washer tool. The serrations of
the lock washer should face the handle (Fig. 6­3).
To press the lock washer into the exhaust duct, hold
the duct with one hand and the lock washer tool
with the other. Insert the centring pin (Fig. 7­2) of the
lock washer tool into the inner duct (Fig. 7­1) evenly.
Press the lock washer tool in as far as it goes (Fig. 8).
 If necessary, the inner duct may be pressed slightly
into the outer duct. This is not a problem as long as
the lock washer engages securely in both ducts and
the lock washer tool is pressed in as far as it goes.

Destination conventionnelle
L'outil pose rondelle de blocage sert à enfoncer la ron­
delle de blocage dans l'extrémité du tuyau d'évacua­
tion. La rondelle de blocage est nécessaire pour fixer
l'isolation dans le tuyau sur l'extrémité raccourcie du
tuyau d'évacuation. Avant de raccourcir, vérifier si le
double tuyau de cheminée approprié de la gamme de
Truma est disponible.
