Air filter cleaning
Tap the air filter carefully against a hard surface. If the filter is excessively dirty, replace it with a new filter.

Blade
To perform maintenance on the blade, tilt the mower backwards so that the spark plug is at the
top [Fig. 23, page 26].
1. To remove the blade and carry out the necessary repairs, simply fit the open-end or star wrench onto the
fixing screw (19) and turn it counterclockwise, removing the screw (19) and washer (20) [Fig. 24].
2. Remove the blade (21) [Fig. 24].
3. To check the balance of the blade (21), pass a rod through the central hole, so that there is as little slack as
possible. Support the ends of the rod on two level support points: if the blade is unbalanced, the heavier side
will hang down. To balance both sides, pass the heavier side opposite the edge to a grinding wheel or file and
repeat the balance check [Fig. 25].
4. Remove the bushing (22) to lubricate the crankshaft and the internal surface of the bushing (22) with thin
oil. Fit the bushing (22) and blade (21) in such a way that the side of the blade marked with the part number is
facing the ground when the mower is in the operating position. Make sure the blade (21) is aligned and fitted
into the bushing flanges (22) [Fig. 24].
5. Place the washer (20) over the blade (21) and screw (19). To ensure safe operation of your mower, regularly
check the blade screw for tightness [Fig. 24].
Periodically inspect the blade (21) for cracks, especially if there is contact with foreign
bodies, and replace the blade whenever necessary.
