EN
During any maintenance, cleaning, transport, storage and adjustment of the lawn mower,
turn off the engine and remove the spark plug cable.
• Never refuel with the engine in working condition.
• Turn off the engine and let it cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the fuel tank cover.
• Gasoline and its steams are extremely flammable and explosive. Fire or explosion could cause serious
burns or death.
• Start and run the engine in external areas. Do not start or run the engine in enclosed areas, even if
windows or doors are open. Engines release carbon monoxide, an odorless and colorless toxic gas.
Breathing carbon monoxide can cause nausea, fainting or death.
• Keep children or animals away from the mower when it is in operation.
• Do not allow inexperienced people to use the mower without first reading the instruction manual.
When not used, the mower must remain out of the reach of children.
• Where applicable, the lawn mower should not be operated without the complete grass collector
installed or the discharge guard installed.
• Before you start mowing the grass, remove stones, stumps, branches, wires, toys and other objects
from the land.
• In steep areas, wear non-slip shoes and cut the grass in a transversal direction (never from top to
bottom) and be very careful when changing direction. Avoid working in very sloped places. Make
sure where you step, especially on slopes. Always wear appropriate clothing.
• When changing the blade, always wear protective gloves.
• While working, always wear closed-toe shoes and the use of safety glasses is recommended.
• The use of ear protection is recommended. Never work with the mower in the rain, on wet lawns or
when there is a risk of lightning strikes and always use it during the day or in good lighting.
• Never use the equipment unless the safety devices are in perfect condition.
• Never operate the equipment with damaged protections.
• Do not use the mower if you are tired, sick, or under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
• Do not alter or disable mower safety systems. Worn or damaged parts must be replaced.
• It is recommended that the replacement parts be of the same Tramontina model and brand.
• Wait for the cutting blade to come to a complete stop before crossing sidewalks, streets or gravel
paths.
• If the equipment begins to vibrate abnormally, stop the mechanism (engine) and immediately check
the cause. Vibration is usually a warning that something is wrong.
• Turn off the engine and wait until the cutting blade set has completely stopped before removing
the grass collector. The cutting blades continue to rotate for a few seconds after the brake lever is
released. Never expose any part of your body to the blades until you are sure the cutting blade set
has stopped rotating.
• Never operate the lawn mower without the rear deflector, lateral deflector, grass collector, blade
guard or other safety devices not in full working condition. Never operate the lawn mower if the
safety devices are damaged, as this could result in personal injury.
• The engine and muffler become hot and can cause burns. Do not touch these parts of the equipment.
• Never attempt to make a cutting height adjustment while the engine is running.
