STARTING THE GASOLINE ENGINE

Make sure all Controls are OFF.

Pull the Choke Knob (29) all the way up. (Skip this step if the engine has been running and is already warm.)

Push the Engine Speed Switch (28) backward to the ( I ) IDLE POSITION. (If the engine is hard-starting, try setting the Engine Speed Switch forward to the
( lll ) FULL THROTTLE POSITION.)

Turn the Key Ignition Switch (45) clockwise to the START position and release it as soon as the engine starts. If the engine does not start after cranking
for 15 seconds, release the Key, wait for 1 minute, then try again.

Once started, push the Choke Knob down slowly until the engine runs smoothly.

Let the engine run at a moderate speed for 5 minutes before using the machine. Then push the Choke Knob all the way down.

Move the machine around for 2 or 3 minutes at a slow speed to warm up the hydraulic system.
Always operate the machine with the Engine Speed Switch at( lll )FULL THROTTLE POSITION.
Use the Forward/Reverse Drive Pedal (47) - not the Engine Speed Switch - to control the travel speed of the machine. The travel speed will increase as the pedal
is pushed closer to the floor. Do not press the Forward/Reverse Drive Pedal until the engine has started.
STARTING THE LP-GAS ENGINE

Slowly open the service valve on the LP gas tank.

Push the Engine Speed Switch (28) backward to the ( l ) IDLE POSITION. (If the engine is hard-starting, try setting the Engine Speed Switch forward to the
( lll ) FULL THROTTLE POSITION.)

Turn the Key Ignition Switch (45) clockwise to the START position and release it as soon as the engine starts. If the engine does not start after cranking
