MACHINE IDENTIFICATION

The units feature a serial number plate loc ated on the side which
includes machine identific ation data.

INTENDED CONDI TIONS OF USE
TCHEY units are monobloc air cooled water chillers with water-cooled
condens ation.
THHEY units are pac kaged heat-pumps with reversible refrigerant c ycle
and water evaporati on/c ondensati on.
They ar e suitable in air c onditioning ins tallations where it is nec essar y
chilled water (TCHEY) or chilled and hot water (THHEY), not for human
consumption.
IMPORTANT:
When the evaporator water output temper ature is less than 5°C or a
geother mal application with a temperature less than 5°C it is
OBLIGATORY to s pecify the unit wor king temperatures when placing
the order (condens er and evaporator water i nput/output) for its correct
parameterisation.
The units ar e designed for indoor installation.
The units c omply with the following directi ves:
○ Machiner y Directi ve 2006/42/CE (MD);
○ Low voltage Directi ve 2006/95/EC (LVD);
○ Electromagnetic compatibility Directive 2004/108/CE (EMC);
○ Pressure equipment Directive 97/23/EEC (PED);
DANGER !
The mach ine has been designed and constru cted
solely and exclusively to function as an air-cooled
water chiller or as a water-cooled h eat pump: an y
other use is expressly PROHIBITED.
The installation of the machine in an explo sive
environment is prohibited.

The mach ines ar e designed for indoor in stallation.
Segreg ate the unit if in stalled in areas accessible to
persons under 14 year s of ag e. If outdoor
installation is r equired , modifications must b e mad e
which must b e evalu ated b y our technical d ept.
IMPORTANT !
The unit will function correctly only if the
instructions for use ar e scrupulously follo wed, if
the specified clearan ces ar e comp lied with during
installation and if the operating restrictions
indicated in this m anual are strictly adh ered to.

25°C for THHEY, in summer mode.
Maxi mum inlet water temperature condens er 50°C
Minimum water pressur e 0.5 Barg (system si de) 2 Barg (well/city
aqueduct side).
Maxi mum water press ure 3 Barg.
Temperature differentials p ermitted through the exchangers
○ Temperature differential at the evaporator ΔT = 3 ÷ 8°C
○ Temperature differential at the c ondenser : ΔT = 5 ÷ 15°C
○ Temperature differential at the c ondenser (city water): ΔT = 12 ÷
18°C.
ATTENTION !
Water at the inlet to the condens er at l ess than 25°C and ΔT less
than 12°C: it is advisable to ins tall the pressure val ve access or y (VP or
VPS).
○ When the water at the i nlet to the condenser is less than 15°C (the
temperature differ ential ∆T per mitted for city water through the
condens er is inclusi ve i n the range 12 ÷ 18°C) it is advisable to install
the pressos tatic valve accessor y (VP or VPS).
IMPORTANT !
When the evaporator wat er output temperature is
less than 5°C or a g eothermal application with a
temperature less than 5°C it is OBLIGATORY to
specif y the unit wor king temper atures when placing
the order (condenser and evaporator water
input/output) for its correct p aram eterisation.
