II.2.1
FACTORY FITTED ACCESSORIES
VP – (For well/city water or aqueduc t) Press ostatic val ve with solenoi d
water loc k onl y for models TCHEY that modulates the water flow rate to
the c ondenser, maintaini ng the condensation pressur e constant. T his is
in general useful when the machine is run with a set-point that is much
lower than the design value without adjus ting, for the actual amount of
heat to be rejected, the water flow rate and/or the condenser inl et water
temperature. When the well/city or aqueduc t water (where allowed in
compliance with the Laws of the states where it is i nstalled) coming into
the c ondenser has a temperature of less than 15°C (the temperature
differential ∆T for city water through the c ondenser is inclusi ve in the
range12 ÷ 18°C); when the water coming into the c ondens er is less
than 25°C with ∆T l ess than 12°C (the temperature differential ∆T for
water thr ough the c ondenser is incl usive in the range 5 ÷ 15°C) the
temperature of c ondens er outlet water must not however exc eed 55°C
(see Functioning li m its
The water loc k s olenoid valve allows the total cl osure of the hydr aulic
circuit on the sourc e side when the c ompress ors are off with
appropriate timi ng managed from the board ( with well/city or aqueduc t
water).
ATTENTION: In the TCHEY versions only with KFRC access ory and
pressostatic val ve for the control of condens ation, the VPS access ory
for TCHEY must be used ( with s et-up for by-pass val ve) ins tead of VP.
VPS – (for city/well or aqueduc t water) Pressostatic valve with s olenoid
water loc k and solenoi d hydraulic valve for by-pass for THHEY models
onl y. In chiller oper ating mode, the solenoid val ve is cl osed. This allows
the water to flow through the pressostatic valve which will then perform
its func tion of flow rate adjustment. In heat pump operating mode it is
completel y opened. This offsets the functi on of the press ostatic val ve.
The water loc k s olenoid valve allows the total cl osure of the hydr aulic
circuit on the sourc e side when the c ompress ors are off with
appropriate timi ng managed from the board ( with well/city or aqueduc t
water).
HPH – The HPH acc essor y c an be i nstalled onl y on versions without a
circulating pump ( both on user and r ejection side) and without the VP-
VPS access ory. The acc essor y consists of the s ole adjus tment logic for
the management of the cold unit (TCHEY) as the hot water producer, by
inverting the hydraulic circuit. All the necess ary components and pi pes
to invert the hydraulic c ycle are to be set up by the installer. Refer to the
hydraulic layouts at the end of the document.
HPH-CC – The HPH-CC access ory includes the H PH and the VPS to
manage c ondens ation control in summer mode and the bypass vi a the
solenoid in winter mode. It c an onl y be i nstalled in the versions with no
circulation pump ( utility side as well as dis posal unit side). T he
accessor y c onsists of the sole adj ustment logic for the management of
the c old unit (TCHEY) as the hot water producer, by inverting the
hydraulic circuit. All the necess ary components and pipes to i nvert the
hydraulic c ycle are to be s et up by the installer. Refer to the hydr aulic
layouts at the end of the document.
DSP – D oubl e set-point via digital cons ent (incompatible with the CS
accessor y) with Precision option. This mus t be handled as a special
feature by our pre-sales dept.
CS – Slidi ng set-poi nt via 4-20 mA anal ogue signal (inc ompati ble with
the DSP and KEAP access ories) with Pr ecision option. T his must be
handled as a special feature by our pre-sal es office.
SFS – Soft-Starter Device;
SIL – Silenc ed s et-up with double s ound-absorbi ng panelling;
It is not possible to mount one or more of the following set-
ups/accessories at the same time: PS1, HPH, HPH-CC, KFRC; BT and
KFRC.
N.B. The DSP and C S acc essories mus t be handled as s pecial features
via our pre-sales dept.

II.2.2
ACCESSORIES SUPPLIED SEPARATELY
KVDEV – 3-way di verter val ve for handling the production of domestic
hot water.
KFRC - Free cooling kit. The Free-c ooling directl y uses the cooling
energy available underground ( well/city or aqueduct water where
allowed) for summer air conditioning (typicall y radiant). The acc essor y
is composed of a plate heat exchanger and on 3-way di verter val ve,
which can be connected as per wiring diagrams attac hed. The device is
dimensioned to function with a maximum water temperature of 16.5°C
(of the source); start-ups c an be automatic or manual and typically for
integration to the summer radi ant temperature. A "Y" filter must be
inserted at the inlet of the accessor y on the source side and on the
system side. This acc essor y is not a c ut-out; it is nec essar y in order to
guarantee adequate cleanliness of the input water. See attac hed tables
for press ure drops.
KSA – Rubber anti- vibrati on mountings.
KFA – Water filter.
KTR – Remote keyboard for c ontrol at a distanc e with rear illumi nated
LCD display (same functions as the one built into the mac hine).
KRIT – Supplementary electric resistanc e for heat pump managed by
regulation.
KEAP – External air sensor for Set-point compens ation (incompatible
with C S acc essor y).
KSC - Clock board to displ ay date/time and to regulate the mac hine
with dail y/weekl y start/stop ti me bands, with the possibility to c hange
the s et-points.
KRS232 – RS485/RS232 serial converter for interconnec tion between
RS485 serial networ k and super vision s ystems with serial connection to
PC vi a RS232 s erial port (RS232 c able provided).
KUSB – RS485/USB serial c onverter for interconnection between
RS485 serial networ k and super vision s ystems with serial connection to
PC vi a USB port (USB cable provided).
KRS485 – RS485 serial interfac e c ard to create dialogue networ ks
between c ards ( maximum of 200 units at a maxi mum distanc e of 1,000)
and buildi ng automati on, external s uper vision s ystems or RHOSS S.p.A
supervision systems. (Pr otoc ols supported: proprietar y protoc ol;
Modbus® RTU).
KFTT10 – FTT10 serial i nterface c ard for connec tion to s upervision
systems (LonWorks® s ys tem compliant with Lonmar k® 8090-10
protoc ol with c hiller profile).
KISI – C AN bus serial interfac e (Contr oller Area Networ k c ompati ble
with evol ved
management (protocol s upported CanOpen®).
KMDM – GSM 900-1800 modem kit to be c onnected to the unit or the
management of the parameters and any alar m signals on a remote
basis. The kit c onsists of a GSM modem with relati ve RS232 card. It is
necess ary to purc hase a SIM data card, not supplied by RHOSS S.p.A.
KRS – RHOSS S.p.A. s upervision s oftware for unit monitoring and
remote management. T he kit c onsists of a CD-Rom and hardware key.
Description and fitting instructions are supplied with each
accessor y.
II.2.2.1
KFRC accessory
The acc essor y is c ompos ed of a pl ate heat exchanger and one 3- way
on/off diverter valve (230Vac), without spring return.
The 3- way val ve is handled by the unit electronic control: the installer
must set-up a 4x1mm2 cabl e (F-N-contact ON-earth) for connection tot
he terminal board present i nside the el ectric control board (refer to the
wiring diagram).
