The gear or switching mode (manual M) is always displayed
on the <Ride Screen> and in any displays that can be freely
configured by the user (see on-board computer operating in-
structions). If another screen is active, the gear and the
switching mode will be briefly shown each time the gear is
changed.
Bosch eBike Systems
The drive unit detects the gear shift and briefly reduces the
motor assistance level as a result, which means the gear can
also be shifted at any time under load or on a hill.
If the eBike is brought to a stop from a speed of more than
10 km/h, the system may automatically shift down a gear to
a set starting gear.
The starting gear can be set under <Settings> → <My
eBike> → <eShift> → <Start Gear>. To do this, first set the
slider to active. The gears that can be selected will then ap-
pear below the slider. On the display, tap on the required
starting gear. A tick indicates that the gear is selected.
