WARNING!
Always wear protective gloves and glasses while working on the wheels.
• Make sure that the wheels' locking mechanism is properly adjusted (see the "Quick Release" instruction sheet, or refer to the assembly instructions provided by the manufacturer
of the bicycle or fork in the case of a thru-axle). Bounce the bicycle on the ground to check for any loose parts.
• Make sure the tyres are inflated to the correct pressure and that the tread and side walls are not damaged.
• Make sure the wheels are perfectly centred. Spin the wheel to make sure that it does not wobble up and down or from side to side and that the disc does not touch the brake
calliper pads as it turns.
• Make sure that the brake system and brake calliper pads are in good condition and check that the brakes work properly before setting off.
• Learn and observe local cycling rules and all the road signs during your ride.
DO NOT USE THE BICYCLE IF NOT ALL THE CHECKS LISTED ABOVE ARE PASSED!
• Carefully follow the periodic servicing programme (Chapter 7).
• Wear close fitting and highly visible clothing (fluorescent colours or light colours).
• Avoid cycling at night because it is difficult for others to see you and obstacles on the road are difficult to distinguish. If using the bicycle at night, ensure that it is fitted with suitable
lights and reflectors.
• Campagnolo S.r.l. recommends wearing a correctly fastened protective helmet at all times and ensuring that it is approved for use in your country.
