4 Initial start-up

Improper handling of the machine can lead
to an electric shock.
– Only use the document shredder in a dry
room indoors. Do not operate the device
in rooms with high humidity or the rain.
– Keep the device, the power plug and the
cable away from naked flames and hot
surfaces. The ventilation slots must not
be blocked or covered and there must
be at least 5 cm space between the
shredder and any wall or furniture.
– Make sure that the power plug is easily
accessible.
– Before you insert the power plug,
make sure that the voltage and fre-
quency of your power supply correspond
with the information on the type plate.

Installing the automatic feed tray:
• Fold down the safety element towards you.
• The tray is included in the box.
• Fold back the safety element again.
• Connect the power cable provided to
the back of the document shredder and
plug the power plug into a properly
installed socket.

Place the tray into the
guide and press down
until it clicks into place.
To fix the tray, push out
the catches on the left
and right of the tray.
