not making ice
Ice cubes have
odor/taste
Possible Causes
Freezer compartment too warm.
Icemaker is not turned on.
Icemaker is not plugged
in correctly.
Water line is kinked.
Water supply turned off or
not connected.
Piled up cubes in the storage bin
cause the icemaker to shut off.
Water valve is not plugged
in correctly.
Ice storage bin needs cleaning.
Food transmitting odor/taste
to ice cubes.
Interior of refrigerator
needs cleaning.
What To Do
• After installing the kit, allow the refrigerator to completely
cool down for 24 hours. Once the compartment is cool,
the icemaker will begin ice production.
• Move the icemaker
power switch to the
ON position.
• Check that the power cord adapter is fully connected.
Also check that the icemaker power cord plug is fully
inserted into the socket. See Plug in the icemaker.
• Check that the plastic water line
running from the valve to the
water tube inlet is not kinked.
See Connect the water line. A kink
in the line will restrict water flow
to the icemaker.
• After installing the kit, make sure the house water supply
to the refrigerator has been turned on.
• Level cubes by hand.
• Check that the valve wire
adapter is completely
plugged onto the male
connector plug and the
terminals on the water
valve. See Attach the
water valve.
• Empty and wash bin. Discard old cubes.
• Wrap foods well.
• See Care and cleaning.
