standard blade with T-shaped shank.
VII - Operation
These models SPARKY power tools are supplied from
single-phase alternating current mains. They are double
insulated according to EN 60745, IEC 60745 and can be
connected to grounded or not grounded sockets. This
power tool is radio suppressed in compliance with EMC
Directive 2004/108/EC.

WArning: Always ensure the tool is
switched off and the plug is removed before making
any adjustments or maintenance procedures.
1. To adjust the angle of cutting, first turn the jigsaw up-
side down. Loosen the hex screw securing the blade
guide assembly using the hex key provided. (Fig.1)
2. Next, loosen the hex screw securing the shoe plate (6)
using the same hex key.
3. Move the shoe plate slightly forward. It can now be
tilted to set the required angle between 0° and 45° us-
ing the scale marked on the shoe bracket (10). (Fig.2)
4. Next slide the shoe plate (6) until the blade guide (9)
rests against the back edge of the blade. (Fig.3)
5. Finally, retighten the hex screw. For accurate work it is
necessary to make a trial cut, measure the work and
reset the angle until the correct setting is achieve.
WArning: The blade guide (9) supports the
blade when cutting and must at all times rest against
the back edge of the blade except when in scrolling
mode. It should rotate freely.

1. Push the on/off switch (4) forward and up over the
latching ramp to lock the switch on. (Fig.4)
2. To turn off the tool, press the back of the switch and
lift it over the latching ramp.
WArning: Allow the blade to come to a com-
plete standstill before setting the jigsaw down.

The variable speed feature of this jigsaw enhances the
cutting performance and saves the blade from undue
wear.
1. The variable speed control (14) is used to programme
the speed of the blade. The speed should be adapted
to the material being cut. (Fig.5)
2. Use your finger or thumb to turn the dial forwards to
increase the speed and backwards to decrease. Po-
sition "1" denotes the lowest speed. Position "6" de-
notes the highest speed.
3. Determine the optimum speed by making a trial cut in
a scrap piece of material.
note. Using the correct speed for the job increases the
life of the blade.
scrolling control
Jig saw can be used with T-shank blades or U-shank
blades pictures (Fig.6a). This is one of many advantages
of the used mechanism for fast change of the blades.
note. To use the jigsaw in scrolling mode requires a
blade specifically designed for curve cutting. (Fig.6b)
1. The scrolling feature allows the blade to be rotated
360°. It is ideal for curved cutting and detailed work.
To enable scrolling function, first ensure the pendu-
lum lever (12) is in the "S" position.
note. The scrolling feature will not operate if the
lever is positioned at "0, 1, 2 or 3".
2. Next, disengage the blade guide roller by moving
away from the blade to allow the blade to rotate when
in scrolling mode. First ensure the plug is removed
from the power socket, turn the jigsaw upside down,
loosen the hex screw with the hex key provided and
push the blade guide roller (9) away from the blade as
far as it will go. Retighten the hex screw.
3. With one hand firmly on the soft grip handle, place
your other hand on the scrolling control knob and
rotate. The control can be rotated 360° to the left or
right whilst operating the jigsaw to enable intricate and
curved cuts.
4. To disengage the scroll function to enable standard or
pendulum action, first rotate the scrolling control (13)
back to the 0° position which is indicated by the arrow
on the top of the scrolling control being aligned with
the arrow on the housing. (Fig.7)
5. Next, re-engage the blade guide roller by loos-ening
the hex screw with the hex key provided and pushing
the blade guide forward as far as it will go to ensure
there is adequate
