Setting Up Your Remote Control
After it has been set up prnperly, your remnte cnntrnl can nperate in five different modes: TV, VCR, Cable, DVD, or Set-Top Bnx.
Pressing tbe corresponding button on tbe remote contrnl atlnws you to switch between these mndes, and control wllicllever piece of
equipment you cbnose.

Setting ['p the Remote to Operate Ynur VCR
1. Turn off your VCR.
2. Press the \)CR button on yourTV's remote control.
3. Press the SET button on your TV's remote contn)l.
4. Using the number buttons nn your remote contrnl, enter three digits of the VCR cnde listed nn
page 19 of this manual for your brand of VCR. Make sure you enter three digits of the code,
e_en if tbe first digit is a "0". (If more than one code is listed, try tbe first one.)
5. Press the POWER _3 button on the remnte control. Your VCR sbould turn on if your mmnte is
set up correctly.
If your VCR does not turn on after set-up, repeat steps 2, 3 and 4, but try one of the other codes
listed for ynur brand of VCR. if nn otber cndes are listed, try each VCR cnde, 000 througb 080.
Note nn Using Remnte Contrnl Modes: VCR
Wben your remote cnntrnt is in " VCR" mode, the "_nlumebuttnns still cnntrol ynur TV's volume.

1. Turn off your cable box.

listed nn page 20 of this manual for your brand of cable box. Make sure you enter three digits
nf the cnde, even if the first digit is a "0". (If mnre than nne cnde is listed, try the first one.)

Your cane box should turn on if your remote is set up correctly.
if ynur cable bnx does not turn nn after set-up, repeat steps 2, 3 and 4, but try one of the other
codes listed tbr your brand of cane box. If no other codes are listed, try eacb code,

When your remnte control is in " CABLE" mode, the volume buttons still cnntrot your TV's volume.
