10- Troubleshooting

Problem

Machine does not gather

Excessive volume of

Excessive workspeed
Incorrect amount of knives
in the impellers
Incorrect assembly of
knives in the impeller
Impeller`s knives are not
sharpened
Impeller`s counter-knife is
not sharpened
Lower knife of the gathering
drums is not sharpened
Loose transmission belts
Safety pin(s) broken
Tractor horse power is
under specification
Tractor PTO speed is under
the recommended one
Tail shaft is not counter
balanced
Solutions
Turn the tractor off and turn
the pulley at the rear of the
machine counter clockwise,
expelling the product
excess
Reduce the speed
Install the correct amount of
knives in the chopping
impeller
Set the knives arrangement
Sharpen the knives
Invert of replace the
counter-knife
Replace the knife
Stretch the belt
Replace the safety pin(s)
Use a tractor with power
according to indicated in
this manual
Use speed of 540 rpm
- Check whether the length
adjustment was correctly
done.
- Check whether the cardan
shaft is correctly coupled or
whether it is not "warped".
- Check whether the joins
are aligned.
