Maintenance and disposal
▶ Keep the battery clean and free from oil and grease. Wipe off foreign matter of this nature with a clean,
dry cloth.
▶ Never use a battery with clogged ventilation slots. Clean the ventilation slots carefully with a soft brush.
▶ Prevent foreign matter from penetrating into the interior.
▶ Prevent unnecessary accumulations of dust or dirt on the battery. Clean the battery with a soft brush or
a clean, dry cloth.
▶ Do not permit moisture to penetrate inside the battery. If water does penetrate inside the battery treat it
as a damaged battery and isolate it in a non-flammable container.

▶ Improper disposal may cause health hazards from leaking gases or fluids. Dispose of the battery at your
Hilti Store, or consult your local garbage disposal or public health and safety resources for disposal
instructions. Do not ship or mail damaged batteries!
▶ Do not dispose of batteries as household waste.
▶ Dispose of your battery out of the reach of children. Cover the terminals with a non-conductive material
to prevent short circuiting.
