8 - CHAIN REPLACEMENT
A chain typically lasts between 2,000 miles and 5,000 miles, depending on the con-
ditions of use and on the frequency and quality of maintenance operations. Use a
high precision caliper gauge to measure, in different points of the chain, the length as
indicated in fig. 25. If even one of the measurement is longer than 132.60 mm the chain
must immediately be replaced.
WARNING!
Failure to timely replace the chain can result in unexpect chain failure while
riding, resulting in an accident, personal injury or death.
