Commissioning and Operation

Danger of explosion due to open or damaged housing on the cylinder valve unit!
The housing has an important protective function. If the housing is not completely assembled
or if it is damaged, the cylinder valve unit cannot be commissioned safely. Sparks can escape
and cause explosions.
Only commission the cylinder valve unit when the housing is completely assembled and
undamaged.
Danger of injury due to sudden escaping of compressed air!
Suddenly escaping compressed air can cause uncontrolled movement of the piston rod and/
or the useful load and presents a potential source of injury.
Never reach into the travel ranges of moving system components when the system is in
operation.
Make sure, e.g. by using a protective grid, that travel ranges are only accessible when
the system is at a standstill.
Slowly pressurize the system to the stipulated working pressure.
Danger of injury due to objects in the range of cylinder travel!
Objects that protrude into the travel range of the piston rod or the useful load can be carried
or hurled away during commissioning or operation. This could lead to injuries.
Make sure that no objects project into the travel range of the piston rod or the useful
load.
Danger of injury due to loose tubing!
Pressurized tubing can break free and move uncontrollably, potentially causing eye and ear
injuries.
Always wear goggles and ear protectors during commissioning.
Check that all tubing is firmly connected before applying pressure.
