Data line selection

The type of data line is determined by the bus length, the transfer rate
and the demands of the bus manufacturer. Exact specifications can to
be found in the documentation: CiA DS-102, CAN Physical Layer for
Industrial Applications.
5.3
Grounding the valve unit and connecting
the shield
The conductive housing (and also pin 1) of the data input plug (X7C)
are connected via the grounding plate and the mounting screw to
the ground.
If the bus coupler has an insufficient ground connection and strong
interference occurs, this could lead to ground return on the shield
which impedes the transfer.
O
To ensure proper grounding the grounding plate (marked with
the symbol shown in the left margin) must be connected to the
main ground.

Diagnosis

The attached power supplies are displayed by a green LED:
W
Power supply sensor illuminated if +24 V is available for
the electronics
W
Power supply valve illuminated if +24 V is available for the valves
W
Status B flashes if +24 V is not available via the bus line
