9.5. Replacing the Sealing (air side)
• Disconnect the spray gun from the compressed air circuit!
Steps: [9-1], [9-2], [10-1], [10-2], [10-3], [10-4] and [10-5]
Replacing the self-tensioning sealing [10-5] is required when air leaks
from under the trigger.
1. After removal, check the air piston rod [10-4]; if necessary, clean
or replace if damaged (e.g. scratched or bent), lubricate with SATA
heavy duty grease (art. no. 48173) and reassemble, paying attention
to the insertion direction.
2. Also grease air micrometer shell, insert with air piston and tighten
locking screw using original SATA combination tool with max. 1 Nm.
After installation, please adjust material flow according to chapter 7.2.
• Check if the locking screw has been firmly tightened! The air microm-
eter could shoot out from the spray gun uncontrolled!
9.6. Replace CCS (ColorCode-System)
The CCS for the individual marking of the spray gun can be exchanged
according to [10-6].
9.7. Replacing the round/flat fan control spindle
Steps: [11-1], [11-2], [11-3]
The spindle has to be replaced when air leaks from the fan control or
when the fan control does not work.
1. Removing the old spindle
•
Remove screw [11-1] (Torx T20)
•
Remove control knob [11-2]
•
Unscrew spindle [11-3] with wrench (size 14)
•
Make sure that the spindle pick-up is free of material and paint resi-
dues, remove residues and clean with solvent, if necessary
2. Installation and position of new spindle
•
Screw in spindle [11-3]
•
Place the knob [11-2] on hexagonal of spindle
